Expleo is a trusted global partner for end-to-end engineering, quality services, and management consulting. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Engineering Technologist (Engineer C level) to join a leading automotive OEM based in the Midlands.
As a Electrical Engineering Technologist, you will play a key role in the development, design, and testing of electrical systems and components. This position requires strong technical expertise combined with the ability to work independently, drive projects, and support junior team members.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development, design, and validation of electrical components, systems, and networks
- Work across facilities, products, and systems for commercial and industrial applications
- Manage assigned projects and technical processes with minimal supervision
- Analyse and resolve complex technical challenges
- Contribute to testing, integration, and system optimisation activities
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to junior engineers/technicians
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions on time and to specification
- Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering / Engineering Technology / related discipline
- Proven experience in electrical engineering or electrical systems development
- Strong understanding of engineering principles applied to product/system implementation
- Experience working in a technologist or applied engineering role (rather than purely theoretical design)
- Ability to manage complex tasks and deliver independently
- Experience mentoring or reviewing work of other engineers or technicians
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
