The role requires technical knowledge, hands-on experience, project delivery process understanding, and the ability to work with diverse teams to ensure delivery.ResponsibilitiesPerforms design activities for Electrical Schematics and Wiring harness and associated electrical and electronic components for Construction, Agricultural and Off-Highway vehicles.Creation of ICD, Routing information, Bill of Materials etc.Works with the Product and Component teams, suppliers and EDS Packaging and Integration Engineers to develop coordinated designs.Responsible for wiring harness design, integration and verification.Performs design activities for wire harness 2D and 3D design, liaising on routing and installation requirements.Develops design requirements and validation verification methods, qualification, certification with internal gatekeepers.Selecting / determining of suitable wiring materials, shielding and electrical subsystem needs such as Power distribution and grounding.Carrying out optimization studies on wiring weight and price.Defines wiring harness technical specifications.Defines wiring test requirements and analysing their results.Knowledge of system sign-off, certification and qualification.Knowledge of system test, integration test, test equipment and automatic test equipment.Minimum 5 years of experience in wire harness in relevant sectors.Travel internationally and domestically within the scope of his/her responsibilities.QualificationsQualified to HND/Degree level in an electronic/software-based technology discipline or equivalent experience (aerospace, electrical, electrical and electronic, and electronic and communication engineering).SkillsExperienced in at least one of the industry-wide wire harness design software programs (Zuken E3, SEEXP, Capital Logic, HARNWARE etc.).Experienced in at least one of the industry-wide 3D CAD Design packages with wire harness design routing addons (Unigraphics NX, CATIA, CREO etc.).Experienced in at least one of the industry-wide PLM Tools (TeamCenter, PTC Windchill, Dassault Enovia, ARAS etc.).Excellent knowledge regarding the selection and application of suitable wiring materials including coverings, connector selection, strain relief.Excellent knowledge of Automotive and Off-Highway standards.Knowledge of requirements management software (DOORS etc.).Fluency in Microsoft Office tools.Experience of validation and verification activities.Experience taking designs from concept through to delivery.Excellent communication and IT skills.Knowledge of different CAN bus protocols and hardware layers.Working knowledge of Software development techniques (V Model and functional safety) would be beneficial.An awareness of security impact to achieve secure and resilient systems (hardware and software).Work with Off-Shore design and development teams to assist in product delivery.Experience5 years’ experience within Tier 1 or OE sectors (on highway or off highway) within an Electrical and Controls environment.Experience of Project delivery and gated delivery systems.Understanding of and adherence to quality systems and processes.Co-ordination of tasks with the wider team.Knowledge / experience of system integration testing at a vehicle level – does the solution power up, communicate, operate, and shut down as intended.Comfortable working with various electronic lab tools i.e., Spectrum analyser, Oscilloscope, Signal Generators, DC power supplies.A good understanding of design verification processes (DVPSOR).An ability to read and digest complex information relating to internal and external procedures and sign-off requirements.Comfortable supporting and completing cause and effect analysis – Risk Assessments, FMEA, 8D, Ishikawa/fishbone.Collaborative working environment – we stand shoulder to shoulder with our clients and our peers through good times and challenges.“We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation or age.”About the companyExpleo is a trusted partner for end-to-end, integrated engineering, quality services and management consulting for digital transformation. #J-18808-Ljbffr
