We are currently supporting a specialist client focused on electric vehicle powertrain and ancillary technology development who are looking for a graduate engineer to join the team as a Junior Systems Design Engineer. This role will play a key part in supporting all aspects of electric vehicle electronic system design and integration from initial requirements identification through to final calibration and validation. This is a permanent role based in Oxfordshire.

Key Responsibilities of the Junior Systems Design Engineer:

  • Support vehicle level system architecture and high, low voltage and communication systems design
  • Assist in vehicle electrical systems integration design
  • Contribute to safety analysis and design processes
  • Work with senior engineers supporting test rig design and implementation

Required Skills and Experience for the Junior Systems Design Engineer:

  • Previous exposure to vehicle systems architecture design
  • Ideally knowledgeable of systems design and analysis including CAN and LIN along with associated tools such as PEAK, Vector CANalyzer/CANoe
  • Understanding of wiring loom layout and design
  • Ability to log and analyse data
