Job Overview
At Expleo, we are a global engineering, technology, and consulting service provider delivering cutting‑edge solutions to some of the world’s most innovative companies. We help clients accelerate innovation, ensure quality, and improve performance across the entire product lifecycle. We are currently supporting a specialist client focused on electric vehicle powertrain and ancillary technology development and are looking for a Control Systems Engineer to join the team and play a key role in the design and delivery of next‑generation EV systems. This is a permanent role based in Oxfordshire.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop vehicle‑level system architecture for EV applications
- Develop and integrate high and low voltage systems, communication networks, and sensor/actuator interfaces
- Conduct real‑time embedded control software development using MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++
- Perform safety analysis and design reviews, supporting compliance to ISO26262 where applicable
- Design and implement test rigs, develop validation protocols, and support vehicle‑level testing
- Perform application calibration and feature sign‑off
- Conduct data logging, analysis, and simulation for control systems verification
- Document all phases of development, from requirements through to final delivery
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in control system design and embedded software development
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and C/C++ (including embedded platforms)
- Familiarity with CAN, LIN communication protocols and tools such as Vector CANalyzer/CANoe and PEAK
- Experience with system‑level simulation, data analysis, and vehicle diagnostics
- Proficient in MS Office tools including Excel, Word, Visio, and Project
