Expleo is hiring a CAD Quality Analyst to support our customer on a contract basis in Gaydon. The role sits within Virtual Build and Test Operations, a growing team within the wider Vehicle Architecture Vehicle Engineering (VAVE) department. This team plays a key role in supporting the transition of products from the virtual world to the physical world. The function is responsible for operating a world-class Virtual Series Framework and driving optimisation and transformation across Verification and Validation strategy. The focus is on enabling vehicles to be virtually built and tested with greater speed, confidence, and coverage, unlocking benefits in time, cost, quality, and sustainability.

What to Expect

Geometric data is fundamental to the success of physical and virtual vehicle validation. It underpins the creation of their world-class vehicles. As a CAD Quality Analyst, you will play a core role in delivering the Virtual Series for vehicle programmes. You will help ensure exceptional product quality by proactively identifying potential issues within engineering CAD data early in the development phase, enabling early resolution. A key focus of the role will be driving CAD compatibility.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Inspect CAD geometry to identify potential issues
  • Ensure issues are clearly understood by engineers and documented in a structured, understandable way
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering teams
  • Present findings in CAD reviews, explaining issues clearly
  • Support issue resolution where required

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Proficiency with PLM and CAD tools, including: Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE (PLM), CATIA V5 (CAD), Siemens Teamcenter (PLM)
  • Strong technical understanding of automotive architectures, systems, or commodities, with the ability to apply knowledge in an engineering or design environment
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information and present it clearly both verbally and in written documentation
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a methodical approach to problem-solving and issue detection
  • Ability to work independently, with confidence to seek support when required
  • Process-minded approach with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement
  • Proven ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks, and deliver within agreed timelines
  • Technically curious, proactive, and willing to learn new tools, processes, and skills

Desirable

  • Experience in: CAD quality checking, Digital mock-up (DMU) reviews, Virtual validation
  • Ability to identify issues, assess impact, and clearly document findings
