At Expleo UK, we’re seeking experienced Stress Engineers to join our dynamic team, delivering advanced structural analysis for world‑leading aircraft programmes. You’ll play a key role in ensuring safety, performance, and certification compliance across complex aerospace structures while working on the industry’s most exciting projects.

Responsibilities
  • Perform detailed static, fatigue, and damage tolerance analysis of metallic and composite aerospace structures.
  • Develop and validate Finite Element Models (FEM) for complex components and assemblies.
  • Provide stress input and technical support to design and manufacturing teams throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Prepare clear, high‑quality stress reports and certification documentation in compliance with aerospace standards.
  • Support the development of repair schemes and modifications for in‑service aircraft.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve technical challenges and optimise structural performance.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers within the team (for experienced candidates).
Qualifications
  • Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Postgraduate qualification or internship experience in structural analysis is an advantage.
Essential Skills
  • Strong knowledge of structural mechanics, load paths, and failure modes.
  • Proven experience with aerospace stress analysis techniques (classical hand calculations and FEM).
  • Proficiency with industry‑standard tools such as Nastran/Patran, HyperMesh, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with aerospace materials (metallic and composites) and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to produce clear technical reports.
