Expleo is seeking a Project Coordinator to support a leading automotive manufacturing client's Pre-Construction Team within a growing infrastructure environment.
Location: Solihull (On-site)
Rate: Up to Β£41.20 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract: Until May 2027
Start: ASAP
The Role
You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of infrastructure and construction projects, from feasibility through to commissioning and handover. The role focuses on project governance, reporting, document control, and compliance, ensuring projects are delivered on time, to budget, and in line with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support governance and PMO processes across infrastructure projects
- Prepare and maintain project reports (cost, schedule, risks, scope, issues)
- Maintain and improve templates, standards, and document control systems
- Ensure compliance with construction regulations, including CDM and Building Safety requirements
- Support audits and drive continuous improvement actions
- Assist engineers and project managers across project lifecycle stages
- Engage with internal teams and external stakeholders to support delivery
Skills Required
- Relevant degree qualified or equivalent experience preferred (but not essential) in infrastructure fields such as: Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Architecture, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Infrastructure, Building Services, utilities
- Preferably a member of a recognised body (RICS, CIOB, ICES, APM)
- Proficient knowledge of RIBA Plan of Work stages, inputs, outputs and information exchange required at different stages
- Experienced multiskilled and rounded delivery Engineers / Pre-Construction Project Managers
- Experience in pre-construction, design, planning, cost estimation and feasibility studies
- Knowledge in contractor management and site installations, to deliver benchmark Site Safety performance
- Clear understanding of site safety, and Safety legislation (CDM 2015 Reg etc)
- Preferably knowledge of building, construction and infrastructure methods
- Excellent organisational and project management skills
- Knowledge and experience of supporting the development and costing of proposals, right through to delivery and final project completion
Must-Have Requirements
- Demonstrable experience working with CDM Regulations
- Proven track record delivering infrastructure projects (e.g. electrical, mechanical, civil) within an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Experience applying and supporting the RIBA Plan of Work across project stages
Desirable
- Background in engineering, construction, or infrastructure-related disciplines
- Familiarity with manufacturing environments or large-scale facilities projects
