Responsibilities
- Utilising your previous industry knowledge to help develop and implement assembly processes and facilities in line with our client’s quality delivery and cost objectives.
- Support planning, development and implementation of installation timing plans with key suppliers.
- Help ensure a robust process planning, which includes build simulations and PFMEA’s.
- Support assembly process & equipment verification at suppliers and at manufacturing facility.
- Support management activities through development and monitoring of timing plans.
- Support new model planning through development of process estimates against study requests.
- Manage technical issues and elevate where appropriate.
- Achieve equipment capability and availability targets.
- Support the resolution of technical issues where appropriate.
- Delivery of robust assembly processes and equipment to safety, quality and cost expectations.
- Support Product Creation and Delivery Systems (PCDS) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) to ensure gateway adherence.
- Adherence to all client systems and processes.
Qualifications
- Ideally, educated to Degree level, HNC / HND in Manufacturing Systems or a similar engineering discipline or have suitable industry experience.
Essential Skills
- Ability to problem solve technical and manufacturing issues.
- Good IT skills and competent with MS Office Applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Project).
- Ability to use CAD packages to review engineering drawings and models (Catia V6 & Teamcentre etc.).
- Understanding of safe automated and manual manufacturing system.
Experience
- Previous experience of Manufacturing / Engineering processes, tools and techniques, especially in Battery or Electrical Drive Unit Manufacturing.
- Proven PFMEA and Control Plan experience to lead structured risk analysis and develop comprehensive process controls.
- Experience of facility installation, project management, capability validation, commissioning and product launch.
