Expleo is actively recruiting a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team on-site with a prominent automotive manufacturer. In this short-term contract position, you’ll play a vital role in supporting vehicle research and development within Electrical Testing (including Connected Car). Based at our client’s Bedfordshire facility, this contract will initially be for three months and can be offered Outside IR35.

Vehicle Technician will be responsible for:

  • Preparation of vehicles and parts
  • Evaluation of vehicle performance according to set criteria
  • Assembly and dis-assembly of parts, components, or vehicles for static and dynamic test activities
  • Maintenance of vehicles to include safety check, retrofit, fault finding and repair
  • Liaising with engineers to conduct tests to our clients standard and local operating procedures
  • Instrumentation set-up and report writing

Essential skills of the Vehicle Technician:

  • IMI Level 3 Qualification (or equivalent Level 3 certification in vehicle maintenance and repair)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Proven Experience in an Automotive Environment with hands-on expertise with vehicle diagnostics, servicing, and repairs
  • Ideally a background in Electrical Testing including Connected Car
