Are you a Senior Buyer with a background within Engineering, seeking a new challenge? Expleo are seeking a Senior Buyer, to support one of our leading automotive clients, based in Warwickshire on a contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity supporting the strategic sourcing activity, within a world-class engineering environment.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Procurement Manager you will have Global responsibility for specific commodities.
- Utilise your experience to analyse, define, and implement market and sourcing strategies.
- Lead the Global sourcing activity through the Global Sourcing Process.
- Carry out Supplier reviews ensuring the Global Commodity Strategy and Supply Base Market strategy is effectively deployed.
- Support the Regional Delivery teams and engage with specialists within the Procurement Function to ensure optimum value creation and delivery.
- Maintain compliance within standard policies and procedures.
Skills and Experience
- Degree qualified in a relevant subject matter or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work independently and results driven.
- A background in delivering operational plans in a complex, highly demanding environment.
- Competent in creating high quality long term Procurement strategies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders.
- Skilled in maintaining compliance within standard policies and procedures.
- Ability to translate analytical results into detailed, robust, actionable recommendations.
- Experience of working in a global, multi-cultural environment is desirable.
