Expleo is seeking a technically strong and analytically minded Vehicle Efficiency Attribute Engineer to support one of our leading automotive clients in Warwickshire. This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of vehicle efficiency strategy and development, contributing to the delivery of future mobility solutions.
You’ll be responsible for strategic target setting, verification coordination, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure vehicle efficiency targets are met across programmes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct strategic target setting for vehicle efficiency, including benchmarking, customer data analysis, and legislative reviews.
- Coordinate and contribute to virtual verification and data analysis activities.
- Assess and negotiate target compatibility between efficiency attributes and energy node owners.
- Influence and define strategic technology roadmaps aligned with efficiency goals and customer trends.
- Support governance and risk/opportunity management across vehicle programmes.
- Ensure robust administration and availability of efficiency-related data for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with tools and methods teams to align development requirements with programme objectives.
- Contribute to tools and methods development where delivery timelines allow.
Strong technical engineering background with a structured approach to problem solving. Significant experience in vehicle attribute and/or system delivery. In-depth knowledge of vehicle efficiency certification methods and legislative processes. Technical understanding of energy nodes (e.g. road load, propulsion efficiency, electrical loads) and their impact on vehicle efficiency. Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical topics. Self-motivated and capable of working independently within an Agile framework. Well-organised and diligent in managing technical data and documentation. Experience working with Agile principles. Familiarity with component/rig testing and CAE methodologies related to vehicle efficiency.
EducationDegree in Mechanical, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline, with significant relevant industry experience.
