Are you a Senior Buyer with a background within Engineering, seeking a new challenge?

Expleo are seeking a Senior Buyer, to support one of our leading automotive clients, based in Warwickshire on a contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity supporting the strategic sourcing activity, within a world-class engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Buyer:

• Reporting to the Procurement Manager you will have Global responsibility for specific commodities

• Utilise your experience to analyse, define, and implement market and sourcing strategies

• Lead the Global sourcing activity through the Global Sourcing Process

• Manage suppliers

• Cost Management

• Carry out Supplier reviews ensuring the Global Commodity Strategy and Supply Base Market strategy is effectively deployed

• Support the Regional Delivery teams and engage with specialists within the Procurement Function to ensure optimum value creation and delivery

• Maintain compliance within standard policies and procedures

Skills and Experience required for the Senior Buyer position:

• Degree qualified in a relevant subject matter or equivalent experience

• Ability to work independently and results driven

• A background in delivering operational plans in a complex, highly demanding environment

• Competent in creating high quality long term Procurement strategies

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders

• Skilled in maintaining compliance within standard policies and procedures

• Ability to translate analytical results into detailed, robust, actionable recommendations

• Experience of working in a global, multi-cultural environment is desirable
