Are you an Automotive Test Engineer, looking to join a leading Research and Development Team for a major automotive manufacturer? Do you have a passion for future vehicle development? If so, Expleo have the opportunity for you. We are seeking a Test Engineer with experience within infotainment and HMI, to support the Electrical & Electronic (EE) Test team, on behalf of our globally successful Automotive OEM, based in Bedfordshire, on a contract basis.
Test Engineer responsibilities include:
- Develop testing methods & procedures for validation of Infotainment, display, and/or parking systems
- Ensure vehicle level quality, function and reliability standards are maintained
- Creation and management of Tests including test planning, result analysis and reporting
- Root cause investigation
- Field investigation support on occasion
- Management of suppliers
Background and skills required for the Test Engineer position:
- Ideally Degree level qualified
- Understand electrical theory and the operation of electronic devices
- Experience of software application into vehicle ECUs in the manufacturing environment
- Familiar with digital oscilloscopes, and basic electrical test equipment
- Understand network communications i.e. CAN
- Ability to follow system circuit diagrams and identify electrical connections
Flexibility to travel, and a valid driving license are required for this role. To meet with current legislation, right to work checks will be carried out to ensure candidates are able to work within the UK.
