Expleo is seeking an experienced EV Charging Systems Validation Engineer to support a leading automotive client in delivering world‑class electric vehicle charging systems. This is a fully on-site role based in Coventry, working at the heart of an advanced engineering environment. You will play a key role in validating charging systems, vehicle communication protocols, and HV components across multiple platforms. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in hands‑on testing, problem-solving, and working in fast‑paced automotive programmes.
Required Skills & Experience
- Hands‑on experience with EV charging systems, power electronics, or HV electrical systems.
- Strong understanding of CAN/LIN communication, Ethernet, and automotive diagnostic tools (Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, etc.).
- Knowledge of charging protocols: CCS (Combo), NACS, CHAdeMO, GB/T, Type‑2, Type‑1.
- Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, schematics and system requirements.
- Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analysers, and charging simulators.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced engineering environment.
- Experience working within agile teams.
Essential Skills
- Experience with 400V/800V high-voltage systems.
- Working knowledge of relevant standards: ISO 15118, IEC 61851, DIN 70121, ISO26262.
- Understanding of HV safety procedures & risk assessments.
- Experience with Vector and ETAS tools (e.g., CANoe, INCA).
- HVCAP (or SA7) Training.
- Full UK driving licence (Class 2/3).
