Expleo are currently recruiting an experienced Test Technician within Connected Car & Navigation, to join a leading Automotive Research and Development Team. Based close to Milton Keynes / Bedford, you will be working within a dedicated team of development technicians and engineers on an ongoing contract basis. This is not your everyday workshop environment and you will be a key player in the test and development of future vehicles. You will be involved in the preparation, building and maintenance of vehicles or components for test, instrumentation set-up, supporting testing in static and dynamic conditions, gathering accurate test data and evaluating and identifying concerns on completion of tests.

Background, skills and experience:

  • Educated to City & Guilds / IMI / NVQ Level 3 or higher - ideally within Electrical, Mechanical or Automotive Engineering
  • Automotive electrical and/or electronic test experience relating to HMI, navigation/infotainment or mobile phone applications
  • Equivalent experience on a major testing program, e.g. aerospace, telecoms or similar can be considered
  • Vehicle system knowledge with the ability to fault find
  • Understanding of component measurement techniques
  • Test/Diagnostic experience
  • Data analysis and report writing skills
  • A good understanding of vehicle diagnostic tools
  • A keen interest in the latest smartphones and applications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel, for producing graphs and presenting findings
