Are you an EDS Engineer, with experience in Creo, seeking a new challenge? Expleo is a leading Global Engineering Services Provider. We are seeking EDS Engineers to support a project delivering electrical architecture changes to an existing commercial vehicle chassis, based in Lancashire, on a permanent or contract basis. This role represents a great opportunity to be involved in improving an existing successful product.
Responsibilities of the EDS Engineer include:
- Support delivering electrical architecture change
- Engineering of new routing for harness
- Incorporation of new Inline interface
- Physical mock-ups and prototype build support
- Consideration given to Manufacturing requirements
- Provisions to be made against multiple platform configurations
Skills, qualifications and background required for the EDS Engineer role include:
- Ideally Degree educated in a relevant subject matter
- Extensive experience in the design and development of automotive wiring harnesses
- Experience of Creo for electrical wire harness design/routing
- Understanding of wire harness manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards and compliance
- Windchill PLM toolset skills
- Self-sufficient, self-motivated and excellent team-player
- Flexible, adaptable, proactive, diplomatic attitude and excellent communication skills
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office tools - Excel, Outlook, Teams and Word
Design and development of wiring harnesses for HGV/PCV applications and experience of HGV or PCV chassis is desirable but not essential.
