Expleo are currently recruiting for a number of experienced Vehicle Technicians including Technicians with experience in the following areas Electrical / Connected Car / Vehicle Navigation / Vehicle Exhaust Emission & EV Range testing / Vehicle Test to join a leading Automotive Research and Development Team, for a Global Automotive Manufacturer. Based close to Milton Keynes / Bedford, you will be working within a dedicated team of Test Technicians and Engineers on a contract basis.
This is not your every day workshop environment and you will be a key player in the test and development of future vehicles, the role involves preparation / building / maintenance of vehicles or components for testing. Responsibilities include some of the following – leading investigations into faults and/or performance issues, assemble / dis-assemble of parts, components or vehicles for static & dynamic Test activities / Vehicle Exhaust Emission & EV Range testing / Vehicle Chassis Dynamometer operation. You will use various diagnostic software including CANalyzer.
To be considered for the Vehicle Technician roles, you will have knowledge, skills and experience in some of the following areas:
• Educated to City & Guilds / BTEC / IMI / NVQ Level 3
• An understanding of vehicle dis-assembly, assembly and maintenance techniques
• Vehicle system knowledge with the ability to fault find
• Electronic / Electrical background in automotive is desirable
• Understanding of vehicle diagnostic tools ie CAN
• Experience with Emissions / Test Systems such as Horiba or AVL
• Interest in latest smartphones and applications
• Basic Machining / Fabrication experience is desirable but not essential
You will hold a valid driving licence and have the capability to travel.
