A major UK elderly care home group is being acquired and will be entering a significant phase of investment, modernisation, and operational reset. The new owners are partnering exclusively with Experts2care to appoint an outstanding Chief Executive Officer who will lead a whole-group transformation across quality, culture, commercial performance, and organisational capability.

This is a rare opportunity to reshape a large national operator at a pivotal moment in its evolution.

The Role

  • Lead a group-wide transformation programme, improving operational performance, governance, and care quality.
  • Modernise systems, reporting, digital infrastructure, and operating models.
  • Strengthen CQC/CI ratings through robust quality improvement initiatives.
  • Build and develop an experienced, high-performing senior leadership team.
  • Drive workforce stability, reduce agency dependency, and raise staff engagement.
  • Lead a major estates redevelopment and capex programme.
  • Deliver sustainable commercial performance, improving occupancy, margin, and EBITDA.
  • Work closely with investors/owners to deliver a multi-year value creation plan.

The Person

  • An experienced CEO/COO within the elderly care home sector.
  • A proven transformation leader with a track record of turning around multi-site operations.
  • Deeply knowledgeable about CQC regulatory frameworks and quality improvement.
  • A values-led, visible, and inspirational leader.
  • Commercially strong, with experience in high-scale, high-complexity environments.
  • Comfortable engaging with investors, boards, and stakeholders.
  • Within easy reach of the London head office and able to travel nationally.

  • £200,000–£400,000 base salary
