An exciting opportunity to lead Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) commissioning for large-scale, complex engineering projects within regulated, high-integrity environments. This role offers remote working flexibility with project-based travel and requires leadership across Building Management Systems (BMS), HVAC, process plant equipment, and Siemens S7 PLC-based systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commissioning activities for Electrical, Control & Instrumentation systems across various facilities, including BMS, HVAC, and process plant equipment, utilizing Siemens S7 PLCs.
- Review, develop, and approve commissioning documentation for electrical systems, BMS, and related software components.
- Manage commissioning issues through structured processes to identify, resolve technical challenges efficiently.
- Ensure the consistent and safe application of testing and commissioning procedures in line with industry standards.
- Witness and support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), start-up procedures, and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
- Investigate test failures, troubleshoot technical issues, and oversee the completion of commissioning work packages.
- Collaborate with design and construction teams to ensure commissioning activities align with overall project milestones.
- Coordinate with suppliers and stakeholders to integrate testing requirements into the master project schedule.
- Provide progress reports, facilitate regular review meetings, and update commissioning resources and forecasts.
- Apply industry best practices and adhere to relevant standards throughout all phases of the commissioning process.
Required Skills & Non‐Negotiables
- Demonstrated experience leading EC&I commissioning on complex projects within high‐integrity or regulated sectors such as critical infrastructure, transport, energy, pharmaceuticals, or advanced manufacturing.
- Strong background in systems including ventilation/HVAC, control systems, BMS, and electrical distribution.
- Proficient with Siemens PLC-based systems and integrated safety/monitoring solutions.
- Effective leadership and communication skills, capable of working independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with engineering, delivery, and client stakeholders.
- Valid UK driving licence.
