As the Regional Manager for the North West, you will have overall responsibility for the strategic and operational leadership of children’s services across the region. You will manage a team of service managers, ensuring that services are delivered to the highest standards, and that the welfare and development of children and young people are consistently prioritised.
You will report directly to the senior leadership team and work closely with key external stakeholders, commissioners, and regulatory bodies. Your role will involve leading service delivery, driving performance improvements, and maintaining compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks., * Lead, manage, and support a team of service managers and operational staff across the North West region.

Ensure high-quality, child-centred services are delivered consistently and effectively in line with organisational values and objectives.

Monitor and evaluate service performance, ensuring services meet regulatory requirements and performance targets.

Oversee financial and resource management, including managing budgets, identifying efficiencies, and ensuring cost-effective service delivery.

Build and maintain effective relationships with local authorities, commissioners, and external partners to ensure successful service delivery and partnerships.

Lead on safeguarding practices to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people in our care.

Drive service improvements, ensuring continuous development and adoption of best practices across all services.

Lead, support, and develop staff at all levels, creating a positive and motivated working environment.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of senior management experience within children’s services, with strong leadership skills and a passion for improving outcomes for children and young people. You will need:

Extensive experience in managing children’s services, with a deep understanding of the challenges within the North West region.

A background in senior operational management, with the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and implement performance improvement strategies.

In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, regulatory frameworks (including Ofsted), and relevant legislation (Children Act, etc.).

Excellent communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills.

The ability to manage budgets and drive operational efficiency.

A commitment to the continuous development of staff and the delivery of high-quality services.

A Level 5 in leadership & management
