Expert are pleased to be working in partnership with a highly respected Quantity Surveying consultancy practice, based in the Dungiven area, providing expert commercial support to Developers, Main Contractors, and Subcontractors to assist with the day-to-day management of all commercial aspects of construction projects, from feasibility through to final accounts. Our Client is willing to consider applications from Graduate level Quantity Surveyors through to Intermediate level.
This opportunity allows the successful candidate to gain experience across all aspects of the business. The company continues to provide estimating and post-contract QS services across a wide array of projects, from smaller developments to multi-use schemes exceeding £100m in value. They work across all sectors and have developed an outstanding reputation across the NI Construction market.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conduct take off from drawings using specialist software.
- Prepare and issue tender enquiries, managing the appointment of subcontractors.
- Oversee daily subcontractor management, including variations, payment applications, and issuing payment notices.
- Visit project sites to compile monthly payment applications for submission to the Client's QS.
- Perform remeasures as works progress in preparation for final account submission.
- Collaborate with site teams to ensure timely ordering of materials, aligned with procurement schedules.
- Manage commercial and contractual relationships with Clients, Consultants, and Subcontractors.
- Attend site progress and technical meetings, coordinating with the wider design team to ensure prompt completion of agreed actions.
What you'll need to succeed:
- A Degree in Quantity Surveying, including a strong placement year.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A full, valid driving licence and access to your own car.
- 1-3 years of post-graduate experience in quantity surveying.
