Expert Construction welcome applications for this role with a dynamic civil engineering contractor based in County Tyrone. Their projects span a broad range of sectors and are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team. With the establishment of an Employee Ownership Trust [EOT], employees enjoy the benefit of Tax-Free bonus payments, whilst contributing to the success of the Company.
The Successful candidate will be responsible for the commercial management of a variety of Construction projects.
Main duties:
- Preparation of feasibility studies, reporting on tenders and agreeing final accounts
- Preparation of the production and timely submission of interim valuations, WIP, Cash Flow Forecasts and reconciliation reports
- Preparation of the management of Variations / Compensation Events and Contractual Claims processes
- Preparation of contract orders, valuations and final accounts
- Preparation of Client quotations and budgets
Candidate requirements:
- Relevant Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
- A minimum of 5 years relevant post-graduate experience as a Quantity Surveyor in a contracting environment; experience on Civil Engineering Projects desirable
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of contract law and legal procedures
- Technical proficiency; knowledge of construction methods, materials and cost accounting principles
- Well organised, can manage and prioritise workload to achieve deadlines
- Works well as part of a team
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proficient in IT/relevant software; ability to use construction cost accounting software and other project management tools
- Valid UK Driving licence is essential
- The right to work in the UK is essential
