Expert Construction are working in partnership with a main contractor delivering commercial, residential and public sector projects across the region. They are looking for a Procore & Systems Manager to take ownership of how the business uses its systems, from Procore set-up and site training through to company procedures, reporting and day-to-day IT coordination. You will be the company's lead for Procore, working with Site Managers, Contracts Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Accounts and management to ensure the systems are set up properly and used consistently on every project. The role is based at head office with regular site visits to train teams, resolve issues and drive adoption. This is a self-managed role with real authority: you will set the standards, agree priorities with the Construction Director and be accountable for making the systems work across the business.

Key responsibilities

  • Procore ownership and administration: Act as the company's Procore lead and system administrator, accountable for its set-up, adoption and ongoing development. Set up new projects, including users, permissions, folder structures, templates and workflows. Manage key tools including Documents, Drawings, RFIs, Submittals, Daily Logs, Inspections, Observations and Correspondence. Monitor usage and data quality across projects and act on gaps in adoption.
  • Site implementation and training: Lead the roll out of Procore on new and existing projects. Visit sites regularly to deliver practical, hands-on training to Site Managers, Contracts Managers, QSs and subcontractors. Produce user guides, quick-reference sheets, checklists and standard operating procedures.
  • Company procedures and process improvement: Work with management to develop, implement and maintain standard company procedures. Standardise processes for project documentation, procurement, subcontractor management, progress reporting, commercial administration and handover.
  • Reporting and management information: Build and maintain Excel trackers, registers and reports for site, commercial and management teams. Pull data from Procore and other systems to report on progress, outstanding actions, inspections, documentation, procurement and compliance.
  • Document control: Set and maintain document control procedures across all projects. Manage the issue, receipt, revision and distribution of drawings and project documents.
  • IT and systems coordination: Act as the first point of contact for everyday IT, software and system queries. Manage software licences, user access and IT equipment allocation.
  • Workload and stakeholder management: Plan and prioritise your own workload across live projects and office functions. Agree implementation priorities and deadlines with management and report regularly on progress, adoption and issues.

Your first six months

By the end of your first six months they would expect:

  • Procore set up consistently across all live projects.
  • Site Managers, Contracts Managers and QSs trained and confident using it.
  • Agreed company procedures in place and being followed.
  • Reliable document control and reporting established.
  • A clear process for handling day-to-day IT and system issues.
  • A prioritised roadmap for further systems and process improvements.

Essential skills and experience

  • Extensive hands-on experience of Procore, ideally including admin-level set-up and configuration.
  • A track record of rolling out a system or process change across teams.
  • Proven ability to train and support users with varying levels of IT confidence.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, conditional formatting and data validation.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Experience in document control, construction administration or systems implementation.
  • Strong organisation and the ability to manage a varied workload independently.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to sites.

Desirable skills and experience

  • Experience with a main contractor or in the wider construction industry.
  • Understanding of how construction projects run, from pre-construction through to handover.
  • Familiarity with procurement, subcontractor management, commercial reporting or CVR processes.
  • Experience with programme software such as Asta Powerproject or Microsoft Project.
  • Experience of accounting or commercial systems such as Sage, and system integrations.
  • Awareness of ISO 19650 and structured information management.
  • CSCS card, or willingness to obtain one.

  • Self-motivated and comfortable owning a role without close supervision.
  • Confident, approachable and patient when supporting colleagues.
  • Organised and methodical, with strong attention to detail.
  • Able to communicate clearly with colleagues at every level of the business.
  • Interested in technology and in helping a construction business run more efficiently.

What is on offer

  • Competitive salary, depending on experience.
  • Company vehicle / car allowance / mileage paid for site travel.
  • XX days' holiday plus bank holidays.
