We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Owner to help shape and drive the Digital Tech Transfer (TT) transformation program. Working closely with the Senior IT Business Partners and Enterprise Architect, the Technical Product Owner will act as the bridge between business strategy, platform capabilities, and delivery execution. The individual will be responsible for translating strategic objectives into prioritized capabilities, delivery roadmaps, and executable outcomes, while coordinating stakeholders, vendors, and delivery teams across the Digital Tech Transfer ecosystem in Clinical or Commercial Manufacturing.

This role will play a critical part in transforming technology transfer from a document-centric process into a digitally enabled, data-driven operating model that improves speed, consistency, compliance, and knowledge sharing across products and manufacturing sites. The successful candidate will combine strong Life Sciences domain knowledge with exceptional project management, program planning, stakeholder management and delivery leadership capabilities. The role will work in close partnership with the Enterprise Architect who will own the target-state architecture, integration strategy and technology standards required to deliver the Digital Tech Transfer vision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Strategy & Program Shaping

Partner with the Senior IT Business Partner and Enterprise Architect to define and evolve the Digital Tech Transfer vision, business objectives, and multi-year roadmap. Drive execution of the Digital Tech Transfer program across the product lifecycle from strategy through deployment and adoption. Translate business objectives into prioritized capabilities, features, and implementation plans. Facilitate alignment across Manufacturing, Quality, Process Development, Technology Transfer, Supply Chain, and IT stakeholders. Support the definition of governance models, operating models, and business adoption strategies. Drive prioritization decisions based on business value, risk reduction, regulatory impact, and implementation feasibility. Ensure alignment between business priorities and the architectural direction defined by the Enterprise Architecture team.

  • Roadmap Planning & Delivery Leadership

Develop and maintain integrated delivery roadmaps spanning multiple platforms, vendors, and workstreams. Define releases, milestones, dependencies, deployment waves, and implementation sequencing. Ensure roadmap alignment with funding cycles, business priorities, site deployment strategies, and regulatory commitments. Identify program risks, delivery bottlenecks, and mitigation plans. Work closely with solution architects, business analysts, and platform providers to monitor progress against agreed outcomes. Establish planning frameworks that link business initiatives, capabilities, features, and deliverables to measurable value realization.

  • Platform & Vendor Coordination

Act as the primary business and delivery coordinator across technology platform providers supporting the Digital Tech Transfer ecosystem. Collaborate with vendors to understand platform capabilities, product roadmaps, implementation considerations, and business impacts. Manage dependencies and delivery coordination across multiple platforms and workstreams. Facilitate discussions between vendors, enterprise architects, business stakeholders, and delivery teams to resolve business and functional gaps. Ensure vendor activities remain aligned to the agreed roadmap, priorities, and business outcomes.

  • Business Value & Outcome Management

Define and maintain program success metrics, KPI frameworks, and value realization plans. Establish benefits-tracking mechanisms linked to business objectives, including: Reduction in technology transfer cycle times, Improved process standardization, Data quality and integrity improvements, Improved site onboarding efficiency, Reduced manual handoffs and documentation effort, Faster product introduction and scale-up. Track business outcomes throughout the program lifecycle. Provide executive reporting, recommendations, and progress updates based on measurable value realization.

  • Requirements & Capability Management

Lead capability definition workshops with business and technical stakeholders. Translate business goals into epics, capabilities, features, user stories, and release plans. Own and prioritize the Digital Tech Transfer backlog. Ensure requirements remain aligned with strategic objectives and expected business benefits. Define MVPs and phased delivery approaches to maximize value and accelerate adoption. Partner with Enterprise Architecture and Solution Architecture teams to ensure requirements are supported by scalable and compliant technology solutions.

  • Stakeholder Engagement

Act as a trusted delivery advisor to senior business and technology stakeholders. Facilitate decision-making across multiple stakeholder groups with competing priorities. Communicate roadmap progress, risks, dependencies, business outcomes, and value realization to leadership teams. Build strong relationships across Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, R&D, Process Development, and Digital organizations. Drive stakeholder alignment on priorities, scope, release sequencing, and transformation objectives. Foster collaboration between business teams, Enterprise Architecture, platform vendors, and delivery organizations.

Required Experience

10+ years of experience in Project Management, Product Management, Program Delivery, Business Transformation, Digital Manufacturing, or related disciplines. Strong experience within Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, or Manufacturing industries. Demonstrated experience supporting Technology Transfer, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Process Development, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), or Manufacturing Operations. Experience defining and executing complex digital transformation programs and multi-year roadmaps. Proven ability to manage cross-functional initiatives involving multiple technology vendors and stakeholder groups. Strong experience in program governance, dependency management, business case development, and value realization. Working knowledge of enterprise architecture principles, digital manufacturing platforms, and integration-driven environments. Strong understanding of Agile delivery approaches, Product Operating Models, and scaled transformation programs.

Critical Success Factors

Within the first 6-12 months, the Technical Product Owner will: Establish a clearly defined and prioritized Digital Tech Transfer roadmap in partnership with the Enterprise Architect. Align platform vendors and delivery teams behind a common delivery strategy and implementation plan. Define measurable business outcomes, KPI frameworks, and value realization mechanisms. Create an integrated dependency, release, and deployment plan. Support future-state operating model definition and business adoption planning. Achieve stakeholder consensus on capability priorities, release sequencing, and investment decisions. Establish effective governance forums linking business priorities, delivery execution, and architectural direction. Enable the transition from strategy and planning into scalable, measurable execution.
