Our client, a global leader in the agricultural and fresh produce sector specializing in a vertically integrated "seed-to-shelf" supply chain, is looking for a Supply Chain Coordinator to provide critical organizational support to their UK logistics team.
In this role, you will be a vital addition to the logistics team, providing support to the current lead during a period of growth. We are looking for a methodical, highly organized professional who can navigate a fast-paced environment where vessel delays or shifting logistics require immediate, analytical re-planning.
You will act as a central hub between international suppliers, third-party logistics providers, and major UK retail customers to ensure the seamless flow and accuracy of high-volume stock.
Responsibilities:- Liaise daily with customs clearance agents, forwarders, haulage providers, and various receiving sites.
- Capture shipments and set them up within the internal ERP system.
- Arrange delivery slots from ports to designated receiving sites.
- Ensure all shipping documentation is accurate, compliant with UK regulations, and meets group requirements.
- Track the real-time progress of shipments to ensure timely deliveries to retailers.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify potential disruptions and implement alternative logistics plans.
- Monitor freight rates to ensure correct billing and accurately input charges into the company software.
- Coordinate with packing service providers regarding arrival notifications and maintain accurate log files.
- Provide necessary data for intake quality checks and capture arrivals on partner systems.
- Assist in stock management and the allocation of produce to meet customer orders.
- 3+ years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain coordination.
- Proven experience working within the fresh produce, perishables, or FMCG industry.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, specifically using formulas to analyze and reference complex data sets.
- Extensive experience coordinating with 3rd-party logistics providers, including haulage, forwarders, and customs agents.
- Hands-on experience managing shipping documentation and arrival notifications.
- Demonstrated ability to use ERP systems for data entry and supply chain tracking.
- A Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration is preferred but not mandatory.
