A leading global provider of advanced water treatment solutions is launching its first UK project in the Suffolk area. We are seeking a highly organised and commercially astute Site Procurement & Contracts Manager to play a crucial role in this significant infrastructure project.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and manage subcontracts and local vendor purchasing orders.
- Oversee and manage all UK-based procurement activities.
- Track and expedite orders and agreements to ensure compliance.
- Source and negotiate with subcontractors and local vendors.
- Manage RFPs, proposal evaluation, and contractor recommendations.
- Issue Purchase Orders and Agreements following internal approvals.
- Monitor vendor documentation, bonding, and progress.
- Conduct site meetings and track subcontract activities.
- Manage communication with subcontractors and vendors.
- Identify and mitigate contractual risks.
- Review subcontractor reporting and pay applications.
- Manage subcontract variations and Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
- Participate in project procurement and risk assessment meetings.
- Escalate issues as needed.
Requirements:
- MUSTs: Minimum 3-5 years of project administration experience.
- Minimum 3-5 years of procurement experience on infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of UK contractual law, UK construction contracts, and NEC Engineering.
- Engineering knowledge.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Sizewell minimum 3 days per week.
