Role Description
This is a full-time, on‑site role based in Greater Manchester. This is a new‑business hunting role focused on identifying prospective UK manufacturers and winning new accounts. You will be responsible for:
- Proactively identifying and approaching prospective UK manufacturers.
- Building and managing an independent sales pipeline.
- Arranging and conducting customer meetings.
- Preparing and delivering product presentations.
- Negotiating pricing and commercial terms.
- Developing relationships that generate repeat business.
- Collaborating closely with technical and supply‑chain teams to ensure accurate product information, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery.
- Maintaining detailed sales pipelines and forecasts.
- Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to support continuous growth in the UK supplements sector.
Qualifications
- 1–5 years of B2B sales experience, with a strong track record of new‑business development through proactive outbound prospecting.
- Experience selling into animal feed/animal health, food and beverage, or personal care/cosmetics is strongly preferred.
- Comfortable arranging and conducting customer meetings independently.
- Strong skills in relationship building, consultative selling, and negotiation.
- Ability to understand technical product information and explain it clearly to customers.
- Competence in market research, lead generation, and opportunity qualification.
- Comfort with CRM systems, sales reporting, and basic data analysis.
- Self‑motivated, organised, and able to manage multiple accounts and projects.
- Valid right to work in the UK, and willingness to travel across Greater Manchester and the wider UK as needed.
- Relevant education in business, life sciences, nutrition, or a related field is beneficial.
