About the role:
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Internal Medicine Specialist to join our multidisciplinary medical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive, evidence-based medical care to adult patients, with a focus on the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of internal medical conditions. The role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent diagnostic skills, and a patient-centered approach. The Internal Medicine Specialist will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient consultations, including taking comprehensive medical histories and performing physical examinations across key internal medicine areas.
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, respiratory and gastrointestinal disorders, and infections.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests (laboratory tests, ECGs, imaging such as X-rays or ultrasound) to support clinical decision-making.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, including prescribing medications and monitoring effectiveness, side effects, and patient outcomes.
- Provide ongoing care, follow-up, and management for patients with chronic or complex conditions.
- Offer preventive health advice and lifestyle guidance to support long-term patient wellbeing.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and refer patients to specialists or hospitals when required.
- Maintain accurate, timely medical documentation in line with regulatory and professional standards.
- Communicate clearly and empathetically with patients regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and next steps.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3–5 years of post-qualification clinical experience in internal medicine in a hospital or medical center setting.
- Experience managing chronic diseases and complex internal medicine conditions.
- Additional exposure to subspecialties such as cardiology, endocrinology, pulmonology, or infectious disease is an advantage.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD or equivalent) from an accredited medical university.
- Recognized training or certification in Internal Medicine.
- Valid license to practice medicine with a Good Standing Certificate issued within the past two years.
- Strong diagnostic reasoning and clinical decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage patients with multiple chronic conditions.
- Excellent patient communication and counseling skills.
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR/EHR) systems.
