The Commercial & Operations Manager will provide operational and day-to-day support to the VP of Business Development, ensuring efficient and smooth execution of business initiatives and timely completion of objectives. This role requires strong organizational and project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to supporting the VP of Business Development in achieving business goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operational Support: Assist in the daily execution of business initiatives and ensure timely completion of objectives. Establish and maintain project governance frameworks, methodologies, and best practices. Coordinate tasks across departments and monitor progress to address delays or obstacles. Ensure that all business objectives are met by monitoring progress and addressing any delays or obstacles. Provide leadership, coaching, and training to project managers and teams.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with various teams to ensure tasks are aligned and completed efficiently. Provide updates and follow up with stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of ongoing projects. Act as the main point of contact for team alignment and resource allocation.
- Project Management Support: Manage project timelines, budgets, and KPIs, ensuring projects stay on track. Facilitate meetings and track project progress.
- Market and Customer Coordination: Support demand generation activities with retailers and producers. Ensure smooth communication between teams to address customer needs.
- Operational Efficiency: Assist in developing operational processes to streamline tasks. Track progress, assist with forecasting, and help with resource planning.
- Team Collaboration: Foster communication across teams to ensure alignment and timely task completion. Provide operational support to help team members overcome challenges and meet deadlines.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2) is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in project management or strategic roles.
- Proven experience in leading or supporting cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt strategies to changing priorities.
- Proficient in budgeting, KPI tracking, and forecasting processes.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills across various organizational levels.
- Familiarity with global market dynamics and regulatory requirements.
