Senior Satellite Telecoms Research Engineer required for a 6G future connectivity technology team working on Non Terrestrial and Terrestrial Ubiquitous Communication concepts. You will develop, refine and deploy communication systems across infrastructure, field deployment, system architecture, software and set up. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise across 5G and 6G, satellite communications, future networks, IoT and terminals and want to bring innovations closer to market by working alongside research, carrier, commercial and user focused stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Satellite communications commercial experience of one or ideally more of: Cellular Network full end to end, Satellite communications including Payload, Ground Station, Core Network and system integration including system setup, coding and hardware.
  • PhD or MSc in Satellite Communications, Telecommunications systems or similar.
  • Full end to end satellite communication network architecture and implementation understanding.
  • Experience on collaborative projects and bid writing for framework programmes such as IUK, ESA or Horizon.
  • Experience working on externally funded collaborative projects with external stakeholders or equivalent relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical delivery on projects, technical consultancy to businesses, engagement with universities and Research centres on satellite enabled 5G as well as 6G networks through the evolution of both satellite and terrestrial networks.
