An established aviation maintenance and repair organisation is looking for a Composite Paint Technician to join its workshop team. This is a hands-on role focused on the repair, finishing, and overhaul of composite and fibreglass propeller blades.
The Role
- Carry out composite, fibreglass, and carbon fibre repairs on propeller blades
- Perform blade preparation, masking, painting, machining, and balancing
- Install metallic leading edges and complete repair and overhaul activities
- Inspect components and identify items for repair, rework, or scrap in line with OEM manuals
- Support on-aircraft repairs where required (may include occasional travel)
- Work to company procedures, safety standards, and COSHH requirements
About You
- Experience in composites, fibreglass, paint, or a hands-on engineering and craft role (aviation, automotive, marine, carpentry)
- Strong manual skills, attention to detail, and pride in workmanship
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a small team
- Aviation or MRO experience is desirable but not essential
- Trainee candidates with the right attitude will be considered
