An established aviation maintenance and repair organisation is looking for a Composite Paint Technician to join its workshop team. This is a hands-on role focused on the repair, finishing, and overhaul of composite and fibreglass propeller blades.

The Role

  • Carry out composite, fibreglass, and carbon fibre repairs on propeller blades
  • Perform blade preparation, masking, painting, machining, and balancing
  • Install metallic leading edges and complete repair and overhaul activities
  • Inspect components and identify items for repair, rework, or scrap in line with OEM manuals
  • Support on-aircraft repairs where required (may include occasional travel)
  • Work to company procedures, safety standards, and COSHH requirements

About You

  • Experience in composites, fibreglass, paint, or a hands-on engineering and craft role (aviation, automotive, marine, carpentry)
  • Strong manual skills, attention to detail, and pride in workmanship
  • Comfortable working independently or as part of a small team
  • Aviation or MRO experience is desirable but not essential
  • Trainee candidates with the right attitude will be considered
