We are looking for a hands‑on Field Service Engineer to install, commission, maintain and troubleshoot specialist electronic systems used in marine and shore‑based environments.
This is a field‑based role involving regular UK and international travel, working directly with customers to ensure equipment operates reliably and meets technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, test and troubleshoot electronic equipment and systems.
- Carry out on‑site service visits, fault‑finding and acceptance testing.
- Provide technical support and customer training.
- Complete service reports and communicate technical issues to the engineering team.
- Support customers remotely when working from the office.
Key Skills
- Experience in field service, maintenance or technical support engineering.
- Background in electronics, electrical engineering, radar, navigation, communications or similar systems.
- Ability to read technical manuals and diagnose faults.
- Basic computer hardware, software and networking knowledge.
- Full UK driving licence and valid passport.
- Willingness to travel internationally, sometimes at short notice.
- ONC, HNC or equivalent technical qualification is desirable but not essential.
