We are currently seeking an experienced Service Delivery Manager to join a high-profile, long-term programme supporting a major public sector organisation. This is a key role within a live, multi-year engagement, acting as the primary interface between the client and delivery teams.
As the Service Delivery Manager, you will take ownership of day-to-day client engagement within a public sector environment, ensuring seamless service delivery while building trusted relationships across key stakeholders. You will lead and coordinate offshore support and maintenance teams, manage service performance, and act as the escalation point within a structured, highly governed environment. This role requires a strong understanding of public sector delivery standards, governance, and stakeholder expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the primary client-facing contact within a public sector environment
- Build and maintain strong relationships with public sector stakeholders
- Lead and manage offshore support and maintenance teams
- Ensure high-quality service delivery across Workday HR and Finance modules
- Manage escalations within a governance-led environment
- Ensure alignment with public sector delivery standards and compliance requirements
- Drive continuous improvement, service performance, and reporting
- Proven experience as a Service Delivery Manager within the public sector (essential)
- Strong understanding of public sector ways of working, governance, and stakeholder engagement
- Demonstrable experience delivering services within regulated or compliance-driven environments
- Strong Workday experience (must-have) across:
- Workday HR
- Workday Finance / Payroll
- Experience managing offshore teams and service delivery models
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Strong organisational, reporting, and issue resolution skills
- Experience working on large-scale transformation or digital programmes
- Familiarity with structured delivery frameworks or regulated environments
- Previous experience working in secure or clearance-based projects
Base location is Wokingham, with expected onsite attendance a couple of days per week. Regular travel to Warwick may be required to support distributed teams.
