Field Support Engineer Contract from October - November 2026 Multiple UK Locations Competitive Rate of Pay We are currently recruiting a number of Field Support Engineers / Field Technicians to support a nationwide technology deployment and support programme across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers with experience in Field Support, EPOS, Desktop Support, Hardware Deployment, Telecoms, Break/Fix Services, or Onsite IT Support who enjoy working independently, travelling between customer locations, and delivering high levels of service. The Role Working within your allocated region, you will visit retail stores to carry out planned technology health checks and complete straightforward remediation activities where required. You will follow a structured checklist, assess installed equipment, replace hardware where instructed, and escalate any complex technical issues to the dedicated support team. The role typically involves visiting approximately three stores per day and offers a great opportunity to work on a large-scale national project. Key Responsibilities Conduct scheduled visits to retail stores within your designated region Perform basic hardware, equipment, and connectivity checks Verify installed routers and associated networking equipment Check body-worn camera devices, charging docks, and batteries Replace faulty equipment where required Fit protective accessories and carry out hardware swaps Record asset information, serial numbers, and site data accurately Collect and return surplus or replaced equipment Complete digital reports and service documentation Escalate technical issues that fall outside of documented processes Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach when interacting with store staff Skills
