Job Title: NX Robotic Programmer Location: Remote working Compensation: £70 per hour via umbrella company Length: 6 months Role Summary: An exciting role in a cutting-edge robotics group, working in an agile environment to deliver engine MRO automation projects. The focus of the role will be on the offline programming for the robotic systems using the Siemens NX environment and part drawings to create robot paths. Key Activities: Create robotic programs for shop automation systems using NX offline programming environment. Validate robotic motion programs for shop floor automation in Roboguide and on the systems when required. Support the creation and maintenance of a robot program management system infrastructure. Provide effective training to appropriate team members when needed. Work effectively as an individual and in a team-based environment in a matrixed organization. Work effectively in a fast-paced environment while embracing and driving positive change inside and outside the organization when appropriate. Essential responsibilities: Communicate with the shop teams to capture requirements for the robot programs. Set up and modify the robot programming environment in Siemens NX Create robotic programs for Fanuc based shop automation systems using NX offline programming environment. Validate robotic motion programs for shop floor automation in NX, Roboguide and on the systems. This may require visiting MRO sites and operating the robotic systems. Generate and support workstation instructions as needed. Continually and effectively communicate to all members of the team to help maintain team cohesion in an Agile environment. Clearly communicate functionalities and requirements. Qualifications / Requirements: Extensive experience working with Siemens NX. Experience offline programming robotic systems in the Siemens NX programming environment. Experience working with Fanuc industrial robots and offline programming environments (Fanuc, Roboguide). Experience interpreting drawing requirements. Agile team experience. Desired characteristics: Positive, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and able to apply a high level of initiative. Ability to be flexible and quickly change priorities to suit business needs. Excellent collaborator and team worker. Excellent communicator. Experience upskilling junior members of the team.
