Role purpose / summary: BA resource is needed to assist existing DevOps staff across the portfolio of projects. The role will support a portfolio of projects, and include analysis, planning, data extraction, app build, testing, migration, post-live support.
Ideally looking for a Technical BA with good DevOps experience, and experience working with apps/tools such as:
- Jira
- Confluence
- GitHub
- Nexus/Sonatype
- Build and deployment tooling (CI/CD / Jenkins / Ansible)
- Monitoring & logging tools (Splunk, etc)
Preferred if candidate has a good mix of the following:
- +5 years' experience with software delivery in banking / finance / fintech
- Independent worker with 'can do' attitude, ability to learn quickly, and strong sense of ownership to get the job done
- Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Proven capability in identifying root causes, troubleshooting incidents, and developing effective solutions
- Good written & verbal communication skills and people skills, and build good working relationships with team and wider stakeholders
- Ability to speak / read in additional languages an advantage
- Broad knowledge of IT controls and best practice
- Project experience across large matrix organisation
- Ability to gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements from stakeholders
- Process Improvement: Experience in mapping, documenting, analysing process flows to identify opportunities for automation and optimization within a DevOps context.
- Good working experience of Excel, Powerpoint, Word
- Familiarity with database concepts and the ability to query and analyse data
- Experience with M&A, integrations, divestitures would be a plus (not essential)
Candidates need to be specific on how they have been involved in or supported CI/CD delivery, i.e. their understanding of the CI / CD pipeline, what tools they've used here, and which are involved in build/scan/deploy/test. Doesn't need to be a specialist but needs broad knowledge/experience of DevOps engineering concepts and tooling. Ex-developer who has moved into BA space would be ideal.
