An established UK organisation is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex technology change initiatives, including the refresh and modernisation of cloudâbased platforms and services. You will be responsible for the dayâtoâday management of assigned projects, delivering agreed outcomes from initiation through to transition into businessâasâusual. The role supports the delivery of strategic objectives and the realisation of benefits through modern, scalable technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Endâtoâend ownership of technology change projects, ensuring delivery to time, cost, scope and quality
- Dayâtoâday management of project resources, including internal teams and thirdâparty suppliers
- Delivery of project products in line with agreed requirements, standards and governance frameworks
- Application of structured delivery governance, assurance and control processes, including risk and issue management
- Proactive decisionâmaking and timely escalation to ensure project objectives are met
- Management of dependencies within the project and across related initiatives
- Financial management, including forecasting, budget control and resource planning
- Clear and effective communication with stakeholders throughout the organisation
- Oversight of the transition of solutions â including cloudâhosted services â into operational use
- Endâofâproject evaluation and ensuring lessons learned are captured and embedded
What You'll Be Dealing With
- Delivery within complex technology environments, including cloud refresh and modernisation activity
- Negotiation for access to critical resources and resolution of delivery issues
- Ensuring solutions meet business needs, acceptance criteria and operational requirements
- Managing technical, commercial and contractual challenges with suppliers
- Working to tight deadlines, particularly during governance, assurance and approval stages
- The workload will vary across project phases and requires strong judgement, analytical capability and initiative.
Stakeholder & Governance Exposure
- Regular engagement with senior leadership and governance forums
- Collaboration with other Project Managers to manage crossâproject dependencies
- Close working relationships with technical delivery teams, assurance functions and external partners
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience delivering projects across the full lifecycle, from concept through to closure
- Strong understanding of project governance and assurance
- Experience engaging and managing senior stakeholders
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships across business, technical and supplier teams
- PRINCE2 Foundation (or equivalent)
- AgilePM certification
- Experience delivering projects in cloudâbased or hybrid environments
