As a Security Admin Officer, you will provide personnel security support while also delivering essential daily administrative services that keep our secure facility running smoothly. You'll become the friendly and reliable point of contact for security queries, vetting requests, visitors, and facility users, helping maintain a compliant, safe, and efficient environment at all times. All responsibilities must be delivered in line with UK Government security policies, processes, and standards.
Key Responsibilities- Processing BPSS and SC vetting applications and supporting the Personnel Security Controller with vetting tasks.
- Delivering a range of reactive and routine security administration activities for the Security Controllers.
- Acting as the primary on-site security contact for users, staff, and visitors.
- Managing incoming requests through shared mailboxes for vetting and facility activities.
- Supporting the secure use of classified areas and ensuring all use is legitimate and compliant.
- Escorting contractors during maintenance and other facility activities.
- Providing office cover when Enigma Security team members are engaged elsewhere.
- Assisting with security audits, inspections, and reviews.
- Proactive - spots opportunities to support others and improve workflows.

- Essential: Prior experience in an administrative role.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Desirable: Understanding of the UK Defence Sector, Central or Local Government.
- Familiarity with the UK National Vetting System.
- Demonstrates absolute integrity in all security and business activities.
- Flexible, honest, punctual, and driven.
- Highly compliant with mandated processes.
- Provides excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Must undergo a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check.
- Must be eligible for Security Check (SC) clearance - includes: Minimum 5 years continuous UK residency.
