Overview

The Project Lead is responsible for planning, delivering, and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role works closely with stakeholders, creative teams, and channel specialists to deliver high quality, compliant outputs aligned to business objectives. This is not a hands-on content creation role; it is focused on project leadership, coordination, and operational delivery across content and communication initiatives. This role supports a global, highly regulated organisation, requiring strong governance, attention to compliance, and experience working within complex corporate environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Delivery: Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring delivery within agreed scope and deadlines.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with internal and external stakeholders to shape content-led initiatives aligned with business goals and brand guidelines.
  • Team Leadership & Coordination: Lead and coordinate creative teams, agencies, and channel teams, providing clear direction and support to achieve project outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Management: Gather requirements, provide regular updates, and manage expectations to ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Content Quality Oversight: Oversee content output to ensure quality standards are met (without direct content creation responsibility).
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve issues to minimise impact on delivery.
  • Budget Management: Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and optimal resource allocation.
  • Compliance & Governance: Work with Legal teams to ensure all outputs comply with regulatory requirements, including copyright and data privacy laws.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong background in marketing, communications, or digital delivery environments
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end projects and cross-functional teams
  • Experience with budget management and operational delivery
  • Strong stakeholder engagement across business, clients, and agencies
  • Experience working within regulated or complex corporate environments
  • Understanding of content delivery processes (not hands-on creation)
  • Knowledge of legal and compliance considerations
