Our client, a leading organisation in UK Defence, is seeking a dedicated Principal ILS & Obsolescence Engineer to join their team supporting prestigious maritime programmes. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to projects that shape the future of defence technology.
Responsibilities
- Lead the ILS process across various programmes, ensuring seamless integration and delivery
- Provide expert ILS guidance to engineering teams, supporting complex product development
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Oversee ILS activities throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring compliance and quality
- Manage technical aspects of supplier relationships, ensuring standards are met
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in ILS & Obsolescence Engineering methods and techniques
- Degree qualification or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders
- Proven experience in managing customer and supplier relationships
- Leadership skills with a talent for team management and mentoring
