Power Systems Engineer looking to work on some of the most complex and high-profile data centre and critical infrastructure projects in the industry?

We're partnering with a leading engineering consultancy that is expanding its specialist Power Systems team and is looking to appoint several

Senior and Principal Power Systems Engineers across Manchester and London.

The Opportunity

Join a growing team delivering resilient electrical infrastructure solutions for hyperscale data centres, colocation facilities, mission critical environments and major infrastructure developments.

You will take a leading role in the design, analysis and delivery of complex power systems, working alongside industry experts on projects where reliability, performance and resilience are critical.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership
  • Lead complex power systems and substation projects from concept through delivery.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Manage technical risk, quality, programme and project performance.
  • Load flow studies.
  • Short circuit analysis.
  • Arc flash assessments.
  • Transient and network performance studies.
  • Client & Project Delivery
  • Build strong client relationships.
  • Support technical reviews and design decisions.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering (BEng, MEng or equivalent).
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) or actively working towards chartership.
  • Strong experience in power systems design and analysis.
  • Background within data centres, critical infrastructure, utilities, renewable energy or similar complex environments.
  • Experience leading engineering teams and managing client relationships.

• Proficiency with industry-standard software including

  • ETAP
  • SKM
  • DIg SILENT Power Factory
  • Or equivalent power systems modelling packages
