The Role
An established defence-focused technology organisation is seeking a Networks Solution Architect to design and deliver secure, mission-critical network solutions for complex operational environments. This role sits at solution level, shaping architectures from concept through to delivery while working closely with senior technical stakeholders and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead system and network architecture from high-level design through to integration
- Guide engineering teams on adapting commercial technologies for secure, deployed environments
- Work with Technical Authorities to ensure compliance with customer, industry, and security standards
- Support the development of technical proposals for new and ongoing programmes
- Mentor engineers and contribute to continuous improvement across engineering practices
Skills & Experience
- Strong background in systems and network architecture
- Deep understanding of IP networking, routing, switching, and deployed communications
- Experience integrating complex systems in defence or mission-critical environments
- Confident troubleshooting and owning technical challenges
Desirable:
- SATCOMs, radars, or aerial systems exposure
- Extensive MOD or defence experience
- NATO project exposure
- Background as a Systems Engineer, Solution Architect, or Technical Project Manager
