Payroll Specialist
Are you a Payroll Specialist with a passion for precision and a deep understanding of payroll processes within a large organisation? We\’re looking for a dedicated professional to join our client\’s team of four. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in managing payroll for over 4,000 employees and ensure compliance and accuracy every step of the way.

What You\’ll Do

  • Process monthly payroll for all staff members.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations and checks to ensure data integrity.
  • Handle manual calculations for statutory payments like SSP/SMP/SAP and net pay.
  • Produce management reports using advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
  • Process payments for starters and leavers, including terminations.
  • Administer and report on pensions auto-enrolment and employee benefits.
  • Liaise with third parties for reporting and payments.
  • Manage company fleet accounting and taxation.
  • Ensure full compliance with legislation and company policy for audit purposes.
  • Process court orders and National Statistics forms promptly.
  • Apply your knowledge of RTI rules and HMRC processes (P45, P60, etc.).

What We\’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a payroll role within a large organisation.
  • Essential knowledge of SAP is required to manage the payroll system effectively.
  • In-depth understanding of current payroll legislation, including Income Tax, National Insurance, and statutory payments like SMP/SSP/SAP.
  • Advanced Excel skills are a must.
  • Knowledge of year-end HMRC processing, including P11D and P60.
  • A good grasp of Employment Law as it relates to payroll.
  • Experience with company fleet management is a plus.
