Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and cost-optimized cloud solutions on the AWS platform. The role involves working closely with development, DevOps, and security teams to ensure high availability and performance across multi-cloud and hybrid environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Deploy AWS Solutions: Architect and implement AWS infrastructure using best practices for scalability, security, and resilience.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Automation & CI/CD: Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Implement observability solutions (CloudWatch, Datadog, Splunk) and resolve incidents promptly.
- Security & Compliance: Apply AWS security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and network segmentation.
- Cost Optimization: Monitor and optimize AWS resource usage for cost efficiency.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams on deployments, migrations, and performance tuning.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience managing AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda, IAM).
- Strong knowledge of Linux administration.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash).
- Understanding of cloud networking and security fundamentals.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline).
Desirable Skills
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS).
- Familiarity with data platforms (Redshift, Snowflake).
- Exposure to streaming technologies (Kafka, Apache Flink).
- Knowledge of ETL environments and data migration.
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, SysOps, DevOps Engineer).
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar certification preferred.
