As an Oracle Lead Developer, you will play a key role in shaping database solutions, working at the heart of delivery teams to design, build, and optimise systems that underpin critical business operations. This is a highly visible role offering both technical depth and leadership responsibility.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the analysis, design, and development of Oracle database solutions in collaboration with architects and business stakeholders.
- Design and maintain Technical Design Documents (TDDs), ensuring clarity and alignment with requirements.
- Develop, review, and optimise complex Oracle PL/SQL code, including procedures, packages, functions, and views.
- Take ownership of Oracle 19c database development, applying best practices in performance, scalability, and optimisation.
- Lead code reviews and enforce development standards and best practices.
- Act as the technical lead and primary point of contact for the development team and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and architects to deliver solutions aligned with business requirements and timelines.
- Manage the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) from design through to testing and deployment.
- Provide technical input into project planning and architectural decisions.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers, supporting their technical development.
- Demonstrate strong experience in Oracle development with deep expertise in PL/SQL.
- Work with Oracle Database 19c in complex enterprise environments.
- Apply strong knowledge of database design, data modelling, and optimisation techniques.
- Carry out performance tuning using tools such as Explain Plans and AWR reports.
