An experienced Senior Cabling / Smart Hands Engineer is required to support data centre and corporate infrastructure projects. This is a hands-on role working in critical environments as part of a skilled delivery team.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in structured cabling
  • Strong data centre and enterprise environment experience
  • Installation, termination and testing of copper and fibre cabling
  • Confident using Fluke test equipment for testing and fault finding
  • Experience installing cable pathways (tray, basket, trunking, fibre runner)
  • Rack & stack of network hardware (switches, routers, servers)
  • Power and data cabling within server and network racks
  • Able to follow patching schedules and technical documentation
  • Basic IP addressing under guidance
  • Health & Safety qualification (CSCS / ECS or equivalent)

Qualifications (Essential / Preferred)

  • At least 3 manufacturer or industry accreditations (e.g. Commscope, Corning, Panduit)
  • Industry-recognised cabling training (CNET, BICSI, City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent)
  • IPAF and/or PASMA preferred
