An experienced Senior Cabling / Smart Hands Engineer is required to support data centre and corporate infrastructure projects. This is a hands-on role working in critical environments as part of a skilled delivery team.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in structured cabling
- Strong data centre and enterprise environment experience
- Installation, termination and testing of copper and fibre cabling
- Confident using Fluke test equipment for testing and fault finding
- Experience installing cable pathways (tray, basket, trunking, fibre runner)
- Rack & stack of network hardware (switches, routers, servers)
- Power and data cabling within server and network racks
- Able to follow patching schedules and technical documentation
- Basic IP addressing under guidance
- Health & Safety qualification (CSCS / ECS or equivalent)
Qualifications (Essential / Preferred)
- At least 3 manufacturer or industry accreditations (e.g. Commscope, Corning, Panduit)
- Industry-recognised cabling training (CNET, BICSI, City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent)
- IPAF and/or PASMA preferred
