They are looking to bring in an experienced Contract Systems Engineer to support a key systems development programme. This role will focus on supporting the development of system requirements, including design definition, interface definition and wider integration activity.
You will work closely with engineering teams across multiple technical disciplines, helping to ensure requirements are clearly defined, understood and progressed through the engineering lifecycle. This is a strong opportunity for a systems-focused engineer who enjoys working in complex, highly regulated environments and is comfortable supporting requirements, design and integration activity across technical teams.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development and definition of system requirements.
- Assist with design and interface definition across engineering workstreams.
- Work closely with engineering teams to support design and integration activity.
- Contribute to modelling, analysis and technical documentation where required.
- Support agile delivery across complex engineering workstreams.
- Engage with technical specialists across product, system and technology areas.
- Support later-stage lifecycle activity where required, including integration, qualification, verification and validation.
- Ensure engineering outputs align with wider programme and customer requirements.
- Strong background in systems engineering, requirements engineering or integration-focused engineering.
- Experience supporting system requirements development and interface definition.
- Understanding of the full engineering lifecycle.
- Ability to work closely with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
- Experience working in complex, regulated or secure technical environments.
- Comfortable supporting design, integration, qualification, verification or validation activity.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical stakeholders.
