The Lead Technical Architect is accountable for the end-to-end technical design and delivery of significant changes within a secure Oracle Cloud ecosystem. The role ensures that all solutions are robust, secure, scalable, and fully supportable before transition into live operations. Working closely with operational and stakeholder teams, you will provide architectural leadership across SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS components, driving high-quality change delivery within a controlled production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Architecture
- Design end-to-end Oracle Cloud solutions across Fusion SaaS, OCI PaaS, and OCI IaaS.
- Define extension strategies, integration patterns, data structures, and non-functional controls.
- Ensure all designs align with Secure-by-Design principles and cyber assurance requirements.
- Provide architectural governance and technical assurance across change initiatives.
- Change Delivery
- Lead the technical delivery of complex enhancements, including structural data changes and new functional capabilities.
- Oversee Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS) applications and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) integrations.
- Produce detailed impact assessments for technology, configuration, or architectural changes.
- Ensure alignment between architectural intent and implementation outcomes.
- Operational Readiness
- Ensure all delivered changes include appropriate documentation, design artefacts, and test evidence.
- Work closely with operational (OPERATE) leads to enable seamless transition into live service.
- Validate that solutions are maintainable, supportable, and compliant with security standards.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as Lead Architect on large-scale Oracle Cloud programmes.
- Deep expertise across Oracle Fusion SaaS, OCI PaaS/IaaS, VBCS, and OIC.
- Strong track record delivering complex change into controlled, production environments.
- Experience designing and assuring solutions within highly regulated, security-sensitive environments.
- Ability to engage confidently with senior technical and business stakeholders.
Desirable Qualifications
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Solutions Architect (Professional).
- Recognised architecture and/or security certifications.
