Job Description: We are looking for an engineer, experienced in Java, Spring, Platforms Integration, Kubernetes and ideally React Front End development. Suitable candidates will be adept at working through technical challenges, driving out solutions, and leading others to understand and develop these. They will relish not having all the answers and instead being the person coming up with the answers.
The role will require collaborative working, initially with Architects, QA Leads and Engagement Managers and as the project moves into Build, a full engineering team. The role will include accountability for creating the low‑level design (LLD) for a given service or services (building on Architectural design work). The LLD will cover the entirety of the service and serve as the main input into formal impacting and backlog creation for the Build phase. Post the Design phase, the role will include leading (technically) the development and delivery of a given service or services. Adopting shared / common components built within the wider Client programme, driving ways of working in line with the engineering principles and assuring the work in the team.
As a Lead Engineer in the client programme within Tax Admin, you’ll be part of a community of Lead Engineers and the wider Client engineering community too.
